The Warriors
 The film The Warriors is an American film set in New York, it is a Dystopian action thriller were there are constant battles between the police and 'gangs' for dominance.

The film starts when head a the major gang the 'Gramercy Riffs' calls a summit for all the big gangs in New York. The idea was that all of the gangs had a truce were they wouldn't fight this way they could gain total control of the city, everything was going good and everyone seemed to support the idea, well apart from 'The Rouges' as there leader Luther shoots Cyrus and causes a huge panic and blames it on 'The Warriors'. Warlord of the Warriors 'Cleon' goes over to check on Cyrus were he is attacked by The Rouges and the Riffs, were he gets 'wasted'. The Riffs then order a 'hit' on them and ask for them to be turned in to them alive. But The rouges have over ideas.

While on the run from the gangs on the way to the subway they are confronted by a gang called the 'Turnballs' were they are pursued down a short stretch of road towards the subway. The Warriors just about escape they Turnballs and make a mad dash onto the subway and give a sigh of relief. But the nights not over just yet, on the way back to Coney Island the train is disrupted by a fire on the tracks leaving the Warriors stranded in Tremont and are confronted by a lower league gang called the 'Orphans' who seemed quite annoyed about not being invited to the Summit, but after talking to them and making them fell like a bug scary gang they offer to let the Warriors pass through without any trouble, well until a young lady called Mercy comes out of the house and calls the Leader of the Orphans a chicken and mocks him, causing him to change his mind about letting the gang pass through and then tells them to remove 'their colours' this is referring to the jackets with 'Warriors' written on the back to show who they are. After refusing the Orphans disappear and the Warriors flee and are followed by mercy.

They are then confronted once again by the Orphans but now there are more of them and they have weapons, the Warriors are not fazed by this and simply throw a Molotov at a car and blowing it up knocking the Orphans over and the Warriors then make a dash to the Train station with Mercy and get on the train to 96th Street. When at the station they sit in the train while waiting for the next one to take them to the next stop, they rest up siting in the coach of the train. They then find out its not just the gangs after them its the police as well and they are chased around the train station and get split up, when running away three people get spilt up and go on a train and wait at the next station. Another group are confronted by the Baseball Furies who chase them into a park were they fight. Unfortunately Fox and Mercy are confronted by a policeman and Fox fights him while Mercy escapes in the brawl Fox falls onto the train line and is hit by a train.

Vermin, Cochise and Rembrandt see another gang in the train station but at first appearances seem harmless, they took them back to there hideout were they dance and try to seduce the Warriors they then find out why all of the gangs are after them, that they think they killed Cyrus. Shortly after the Lizzes turn on them and try to kill them and they just about escape. While this is happening Ajax see's a lady sitting on a park bench and goes over to her to kiss her were he is hand cuffed by her then taken down by the police. Swan and Mercy then continue on there own as some went back to help Ajax but them ran back when they saw him being captured. Swan and Mercy were once again confronted by the police were they then ran down the subway line to escape.

The Warriors finally all meet back together, well what was left of them were they are confronted by another gang called the 'Punks' after brawling with them in the toilets the Warriors come out on top. They then get on the last train to Coney Island and they finally reach their 'Turf'. Once back they noticed something was not right as they were followed by the Rouges who told them to fight them on the beach. The Warriors then got some weapons from wherever they could and headed to the beach.

At the beach Luther said to Swan he wants a one on one, Luther then continues to pull out a gun and Swan takes out a knife. Swan throws the knife at Luthers wrist and makes him drop the gun and Luther then falls to the floor. As this happens the Riffs come onto the beach and the new Leader tells the Warriors that someone  come to them and told them what really happened who really killed Cyrus that it was actually Luther. They then let the Warriors go with no trouble and beat up the Rouges.

 I believe that The Warriors is a good film and it constantly has the audience on edge and thinking what gang are they going to find now or who's going to get 'wasted' and will they ever make it back to Coney Island. I believe that there wasn't really a main twist as you knew the whole time that they were innocent the biggest twist if any was that someone owned up and they found out the real killer of Cyrus. Out of 5 my personal rating would be... 3/5 this is because there wasn't a big enough twist at the end and you never really found out what happened after to the characters that were caught by the police or by another gang.
